Slow Baja Winter Expedition 2024 - Day 2

 Day Two The Slow Baja Winter Expedition woke up early to a delicious ranch-style communal breakfast. With everyone full and ready to hit the road, Michael Emery held a meeting of the group to go over our upcoming amazing journey including discussing road and safety issues. He also gave out "swag" bags to all including Slow Baja merch, a Benchmark Baja California Atlas and other sponsor-donated items. Plus Matt had given out Barbers for Baja t-shirts and socks to all last night and today. Today's route was Rancho La Bellota to Valle de Trinidad for lunch (Valley T Tacos!), then south to San Quintin for a night at Don Eddie's Landing Hotel . Unfortunately, one of our group (Ron) had engine issues outside Ojos Negros. His Jeep was done and his trip was over. Our truck and Matt's waited with him for a flatbed to arrive from Ensenada as the others continued on (we would hope to catch up with them the next day). Slow Baja Winter Expedition 2024 - Day 1

When my good friend & travel buddy Michael Emery of the Slow Baja Podcast called and invited me to join him on the inaugural Slow Baja Winter Expedition it was a no-brainer. He would be leading a group of Baja enthusiasts on 7-day Baja road trip to San Ignacio, Baja California Sur and back to the border. He asked that I helped with the "sweep" at the back of the pack. I later found out that Baja amigo Matthew Schnitzer of Barbers for Baja (if you don't know all the good they are doing for the children of Baja, click on the link and help them!) would be going along as well so we could kick off Baja Beisbol , I was100% in! I needed someone to road trip with me so was excited when my brother Mike and my good college friend John decided to come along on what would be an epic and memorable trip south of the border.
